Primary Care Physician Performance Report
This report is the first of its kind in Greater Cincinnati to assess the performance of primary care physicians in our area. It is the first step in a larger, community-wide effort to measure clinical outcomes by physician groups using data and methods that doctors trust and consumers can act upon.

Managing your health and ensuring high quality care takes teamwork -- a partnership between you and your doctor. Your physician has an important role to play but ultimately it's up to you to make sure you know what the guidelines are and are getting the best possible care. As a consumer, you may not know if you are consistently receiving recommended care. And historically you probably didn't have a place to turn to learn which physician groups are consistently delivering excellent care.
In this report you'll find information about care provided in our region. The data presented come from claims (bills) submitted to Medicare during 2006 and 2007 by physician practices in our area. The report provides information about the care for medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and tests to check for different cancers. The more you know about the recommended care you should receive from your doctor, and the self-care you can provide each day for yourself, the better equipped you will be to manage your disease effectively. Use this report to learn about standards of care, and to work wth your doctor to make sure you're getting the care you need.
