Jackson Receives Collaborative’s Volunteer Leadership Award
The Health Improvement Collaborative of Greater Cincinnati has named Bradley S. Jackson, M.D., president of the Cincinnati Medical Association and a partner at Premier Pediatric Group in Mason, as a recipient of one of the Collaborative’s 2006 Volunteer Leadership Awards.
The award is given annually to individuals who have donated significant time and energy to furthering the Collaborative mission. Dr. Bradley was recognized at the Collaborative’s fourth annual award dinner on Thursday, November 2 at the Hyatt Regency Cincinnati downtown.
In attendance at the event were almost 400 of the Tristate’s community leaders, including health professionals, community service agency executives, hospital trustees, business representatives, public health officials, educators and citizens who have an interest in community health.
Dr. Jackson was chosen for the award for service to the Collaborative dating back to 1995. Currently, Dr. Jackson is an instrumental figure on the Collaborative’s Cincinnati MD Resource Center’s African American Physician Recruitment and Retention Advisory Board. Furthermore, he has supported the organization’s annual African American Physician networking events. As president of the Cincinnati Medical Association, he has helped the Resource Center to organize focus groups with African American physicians on issues affecting their practice in Cincinnati. And, also in that role, he supports the Community Health Care Workforce Fund, a new initiative that the Resource Center has launched with the Greater Cincinnati Health Council and the Academy of Medicine of Cincinnati.
Currently a partner at Premier Pediatric Group, Inc., a private pediatric practice in Mason, Dr. Jackson’s other volunteer activities include being a board member with Every Child Succeeds, and on the advisory boards of Center for Closing the Health Gap of Greater Cincinnati and Success by Six.
Dr. Jackson is married and has a son. He resides in Loveland, Ohio.
